How to delete a metamask account?

You can only remove imported accounts and external accounts that you imported with private keys or JSON (such as a hardware wallet). 

Accounts that you've added using the 'Create Account' button in MetaMask cannot be removed.

1. Open MetaMask: Launch your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Brave) and click on the MetaMask extension icon in the toolbar. If you're using a mobile device, open the MetaMask app.
2. Access Accounts: In the MetaMask pop-up window, click on the profile avatar located at the top right corner. This will open a drop-down menu.
   

   

3. Select Accounts: From the drop-down menu, click on "Accounts." This will display a list of all the accounts associated with your MetaMask wallet.
4. Choose the Account to Remove: Review the list of accounts and identify the one you want to remove. Click on the three-dot menu icon (⋮) or the settings icon next to the account.
   

   

5. Remove the Account: In the account settings, you should find an option to "Remove Account" or "Delete Account." Click on that option.
6. Confirm Account Removal: A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm the removal of the account. Take a moment to ensure that you have selected the correct account.
7. Confirm Removal: Once you are sure about removing the account, click on the "Remove" or "Confirm" button to proceed.
8. Account Removed: After confirming the removal, MetaMask will delete the selected account from your wallet. The account will no longer be visible in your account list.
